She’s pretty isn’t she? She’s the most awesome looking figurine I have collected so far. Great build quality from GSC.

One thing to note, the piece of rock below is made of PVC “rock” >.>

The blaster version and the sword version side by side for comparison. Do check out here for the Blade version.

The setup i use for shooting the figurine is pretty simple. Make a windowed box out of cardboard with tracing paper covering the windows. Remember! windows must be cut out from all sides. Attach white paper or other colored paper/ cloth for the backdrop, place a lamp on either side or top of the windows. This would create a mini-studio with diffused lighting. Over here, I connected the USB to the camera and MacBook Pro to get a clearer view of the sharpness of the figurines on the bigger screen. Use a tripod! Viola!

This is pretty much how I did the shoots for all my previous posted figurine photos.

After surfing for so long, Kazesuki’s fingers are tired from swiping after some time. And, Kazesuki is starting to use more of the MBP for photos soon. Kazesuki will need a mouse. So, Kazesuki is out in the market for a new mouse. Preferably, wireless connectivity with bluetooth. Got attracted to these lovely things. Apple’s Magic mouse, Microsoft’s Arc Mouse and Razer’s Orochi!

Wonder which should Kazesuki go for. Follow the cult of Mac sleekness or the pure black snakes of Razer or the monopolistic feel of Microsoft? Apple has that multi-touch function. But that annoying aerodynamic low-profile top is giving me the reluctance to touch it. Razer on the other hand has loads of experience in mouses handling. Both of these 2 have bluetooth connectivity. The Arch mouse has to be connected with a usb dongle, which means one USB port down =( Kazesuki is left with one remaining port.

Having killed 5 mices in a span of 10 years ++, the Razer ones lasted the longest. Used 2 so far, had a Krait, then got another Copperhead. Now, perhaps, it’s the Orochi. The kill list are the first version of Microsoft optical laser mouse, 2 logitech ballmice, 2 optical logitech mice.

Do you know they have listed a series of mouse gripping styles the Razer website? Have a read here. Kazesuki belong to the fingertip style of high precision and agility ^^ All those years of WoW PvP paid off! And, the fast clicking skills have helped a lot at work!! So which style are you?

This camera has spent a long time with me. Well, it doesn’t even belong to me to begin with. She belongs to my Bro. Then somehow, he came up with some excuse of no time to play with her, she was left in the box bored. I brought her out into this colorful world. Brought her on lots of trips around urban, Singapore, Tokyo, Kyoto. Getting wet in the cold and icy drizzles of France and cold weather in Europe. Lots of great times. I’m grateful for all her service that brought me to greater heights in photography.

Now she’ll be banished to the Cold Palace of the Dry Cabinet. The newer generation will take over from now. A fuller and sexier frame ^^

Terence and I were having our usual Sunday coffee fix at Sembawang Starbucks when this happened. I haven been trying to connect to the Starbucks wireless network, but it seems that the network is friendly only to Windows laptops >.> All the mac users at the cafe have problems accessing network =( I personally did tried spending hours connecting to the network. It just can’t =( Same problem at Wheelock’s Starbucks. Thankfully, ION’s Starbucks works just perfectly =)

Somehow today, I got bored of studying at some point. So I asked Terence if he wanted to transfer some files over BT. Then that led to me trying to connect to the internet through his laptop’s Starhub mobile internet. Another failure.

The ignorant me, having that 1gb data plan over 3G which was rarely utilised above 100MB, poked a few times at the Iphone’s settings. Enabled “Internet Tethering”, turned “On” Bluetooth. Then, Life came back to the Macbook!

Thanks Mao for this indirect discovery!

Yay! Mobile Internet, yours Truly.
