The biggest group of clubbers in one gathering lol! It’s been like 4 weeks since I started learning MRI. These guys have been guiding the really slow me through the steep learning curve of MRI. Kudos to them! It’s a mix of CT and MRI people here

My shifu and shimu! All the constant nagging from them, really really help to keep everything in order when i’m scanning XD

Took me like 5mins to clean off all the oily finger stains on the screen >.< They were tap tap radiation-ing!

2 pretty mentors nagging at me everyday XD

JJ happy with what he won from the Bingo game =P

After these few weeks of training, MRI is so totally worlds apart from X-ray. I can only understand what is each scanning sequence used for by the 3rd week. X-ray was just place, turn here and there, poke here and there. And take a shot.

MRI needs to be ventured into with a 3 dimensional sense, 10000 different parameters to check through before each scan. A slight movement could blur the whole 3min scan for each sequence. So, time management of the sequences + planning of scanning planes + potential of patient to keep still + organising of patient arrival to make sure the scanner is been used at all times. And all potential safety hazards like ferrous metals that can become flying projectiles, like my pen…. Or even a gas tank can fly.

Lots to consider! and lots more to learn!

Nope, this World refers to this physical world. Not that imaginary World of Warcraft that I live play in. So in this huge and complicated society, the small you is one of billions pieces of humanity on this planet. What can you share to the world?

To me, Internet is like a portal for ideas to be grown, inspired or sparked. Looking at recent trends from 10 years ago to today, social networks are superpower beings on the internet. In these networks, user generated content are the outcome from the evolution of social networks (vehicles) on the internet.

Have a look at this

From the success of youtube, flickr, facebook, apple app store.

That core idea of sharing and generating profits, for the creator and vehicle provider, at a single point (place) by using the vehicles to deliver created content to the masses who wants content. Amazing, never had such a state of connectivity exists to earn profits with such ease and massiveness 10 years back.

I wonder what’s next… Videos get to be region free, content not restricted region, but allowed globally legally. Or just another rant to watch my anime on the tv when broadcasted in Japan. Copyrights protected lots of property, and indirectly prevented lots more from being created.

interesting. random. observations. to. fill. the. space.

Made this pledge at National Geographic store at Vivo a few days back. Then I’m back there on Earth Day just to kill some time! I wonder what did I do for last year’s Earth Day.

Take a few moment to look at the beauty of Earth in time lapse……

I’m so gonna try this out! Once I get this equation sorted out:

5D mark II + TC 80N3 + tripod + chasing time + a good monitor with a good video program on a good computer with lots of RAM = good results

It’s always been my interest to go see stuff around the world and tell a story perhaps. But apparently, my story telling skills have been dwindling due to work >.<

One at a time then!

Another week has gone by again. My 2nd week since I started work. At this moment, there’s lots of things to consider on all the possible paths for the future. Should I take the one with the degree? Or the other longer path of getting an degree with honors? Is it worth the effort? Or just another piece of paper to get that pay raise.

I’m not really concerned about the pay raise after getting the degree. I’m more into the things I get out of the degree: what I can learn or gain from it. One is more theory based, the longer one has research and management as an emphasis. Totally different areas to the same level of education.

Then somehow, my heart goes to storytelling using images. And radiography and photography are pretty much very different worlds on their own. Each has their own unique points. Radiography captivates on the diagnostic information from the image which a radiologist interprets from. Hence, the emphasis on accuracy and rigidity. Photography, on the other hand, has more freedom of expression and creativity in it. To me, they can’t be compared on the same scale.

If you have seen Sir Ken Robinson’s talk on creativity, I have to agreed whole-heartedly that the current education systems are accommodated to the industrialization of an economy. Maths, Science, Language are a requirement for most jobs we have in this era. Arts are being neglected. So it comes back to our past. Parents tell their children to study hard to get a good education to get a good job. Just follow the flow of the economy and crowd. So you can tell by now which did my parents told me to go. Honestly, I’m not as creative as I used to be when I was a child. Got stuck somewhere.

The whole self-awareness feeling just comes to light. And now, I’m trying to explore many different areas of prespectives, cultures, expressions, and what not. I kept exposing myself to lots of things the good, the bad. All just refine that mere amount of creative juice left. I can’t draw for nuts, except of vines and leaves with a black pen. See more things, explore, play! What’s left for me to hold on to is just the hands with the camera, and the eyes.

Let the creative juices flow again!

More brainless repetitions of quarter-circle forwards, and frolicking and taichi in water. Need more stimuli!
