Good morning, Life!
Recently, I read J.K Rowling’s speech at Harvard University’s 357th Commencement on the Sunday Times. She was the principal speaker for the Commencement. She touched on the essential of failure, of how hitting rock bottom became the solid foundation on which she rebuilt her life. I loved the way she started her speech, on how she made everyone relaxed in the beginning with that “gay wizard”.
I am suffering after years of speeches that always concentrated on the main objective immediately, heavily ingested as sweet smelling vomitus served on a silver platter. “Yummy!”, that is where I wander to Lalaland.
Writing a speech is a totally different story. I can’t ever write a paragraph that flows properly. Oh well, I shall just keep that article in my piled up corner and type it in the comp when I have the time.
After getting that book and reading it, things changed. I actually started to do things with a purpose. Just like a good cup of coffee in the morning to start. I guess my days of drifting aimlessly are numbered. Bye bye, WoW! Hello, to more meaningful time spent on better things!
Back to the book =) And lots of work to do…
